Engagement for Students
Montclair State undergrads: Thanks to the Performing Arts Fee you pay each year, you are entitled to one ticket to each event in the Peak Performances series (including all professional events and all events produced by the Department of Theatre and Dance and the John J. Cali School of Music) at NO CHARGE! To claim your ticket, show your Montclair State ID at the Alexander Kasser Theater box office.
Montclair State graduate students: Graduate students are invited to attend the dress rehearsal of each performance in the Peak Performances professional series free of charge.
Peak Ambassadors are student volunteers for the Office of Arts and Cultural Programming and Peak Performances. Ambassadors advocate for the arts at Montclair State University by promoting, planning, and attending events. Ambassadors meet monthly and gain experience in event planning, audience development, community engagement, arts advocacy, and marketing. Joining the Peak Ambassadors is a great way to hone your leadership skills; build your resume; network with like-minded students; meet professional artists, arts advocates, and arts managers; and make your voice heard on campus.
If you would like to join the Peak Ambassadors, please fill out the form below:
Jobs: The Office of Arts and Cultural Programming hires student workers for paid positions in the box office, front-of-house, production, and administration. To apply for one of these positions, please attend the Part-Time Job Fair in early September or visit Hire A Red Hawk in Nest.
Internships: The Office of Arts and Cultural Programming offers internships for credit in the area of arts administration. If you are interested, please email Brett Messenger, Program Administrator.
Performance/Production Assistant Opportunities: Occasionally, professional companies offer opportunities for Montclair State students to audition or interview to participate in a production in the Peak Performances series. Those opportunities will be posted here and advertised through Red Hawk News, e-blasts, and Peak Performances social media channels.
