MSU Singers and MSU Chorale

The MSU Singers will perform works from the classical and contemporary choral repertoire. The MSU Chorale will perform Dona Nobis Pacem by Ralph Vaughan Williams. Soloists: Karen Driscoll, Soprano; John Hancock, Baritone; Steven W. Ryan, Piano, with guest instrumental artists (string orchestra and percussion). Commemorating the 100th anniversary of the end of WWI and celebrating the 200th birthday of America’s great lyric poet Walt Whitman with Vaughan Williams’ Cantata Dona Nobis Pacem – composed in 1936 and intended as a warning against the rising drums of war heard across Europe in the mid-1930’s.
