Nefesh Mountain
Spirit-filled Americana
“Nefesh Mountain Carve A Fresh Path” – American Songwriter
“A powerhouse unit.” – Rolling Stone
New York–based Progressive Americana group Nefesh Mountain Band has emerged as one of the most boundary-pushing ensembles in roots music. Led by the dynamic husband-and-wife team Eric Lindberg and Doni Zasloff, the band has forged a sound entirely their own—blending Americana, bluegrass, folk, jazz, and blues with masterful songwriting, dazzling instrumentals, and fearless creativity. Hailed for their introspective lyrics and world-class musicianship, Nefesh Mountain takes listeners on a deeply personal journey that reflects their wild spirit, compositional finesse, and unbridled love of music.
Since forming nearly a decade ago, Nefesh Mountain has been proud and vocal about their Jewish American heritage, becoming one of the first prominent Americana/bluegrass bands to weave Jewish tradition and soul into the rich, diverse tapestry of American roots music.
Their latest album, Beacons, born out of a cross-country tour and shaped by both personal triumphs and turbulent world events, radiates hope, unity, and adventurous genre-bending. Featuring legendary guests Jerry Douglas, Sam Bush, and Stuart Duncan, the record showcases soaring harmonies, heartfelt ballads, and music that speaks to our shared humanity. From the electrified drive of “This Is Me” to the moving grace of “Better Angels,” Nefesh Mountain offers songs that uplift and inspire—serving as a beacon of light in divided times.
